GSU at NAAMA’s 34th International Medical Convention

Empowering Global Collaboration

Global Surgery Umbrella Proudly Supports NAAMA 2025

Global Surgery Umbrella (GSU) is honored to serve as a collaborator for the 34th International Medical Convention hosted by the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA). This year’s convention marks a historic step forward in global health partnerships, under the theme “Empowering Global Collaboration.”

The convention brings together healthcare leaders, researchers, and students from across the world to together explore critical topics in global health. In addition to its main program, the convention featured two main symposia: one focusing on solidarity with conflict zone medical schools, and the other on Global Pathology. The convention aimed to be a starting point for building future collaborations that foster equitable partnerships and drive meaningful progress in global health.

Dr. Serena Cruz, President of GSU, was featured as a speaker at the convention. Her talk was titled: “Global Surgery Umbrella Experience in Conflict Zones”, as part of the Solidarity with Conflict Zone Medical Schools symposium.
