About Us

The Global Surgery Umbrella (GSU) was founded in 2023 by Dr. Serena Cruz.

We operate through a platform structure that brings together members from diverse backgrounds, including medical specialists, sociologists, business leaders, and human rights advocates. Our network includes medical experts in surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pain management, and nursing, collaborating across global regions to improve access to surgical care.
