A New Model for Equitable Publishing
The Journal of Global Surgery (ONE) is reimagining academic publishing through a model that is equitable, inclusive, and truly global. Authors are never charged to submit or publish—ensuring that scientific progress isn’t limited by financial barriers. Instead, the journal operates on a community-funded model where readers and supporters contribute small payments, sometimes as little as $0.10, to unlock open access for all.
Peer reviewers are recognized with a $10 cryptocurrency stipend for their contributions. This not only acknowledges their critical role but also promotes fairness and transparency in the review process.
The Journal of Global Surgery (ONE) utilises Bitcoin Cash, a decentralized, borderless payment system, through which micro-payments are made possible, ensuring equitable access to all.
